I’d like to think that framing would be the easy part. But that’s deceptively untrue. Just when you’re satisfied with a new creation, there’s still more to do.

In preparation for my upcoming art show on September 1st, I’ve been putting the frames together. At first I thought about hanging them in the gallery without frames, but then went through a series of failures since my paintings have unusually thick board. The added weight causes some issues.

I ended up creating my own frames which includes sizing, cutting, gluing, sanding, painting, mounting, and more.
